Mrs. Goines informed of her sister's death Mrs. Gruder

Mrs. Sadie Goines of this city received a telephone message late Wednesday evening announcing the sudden death of her sister, Mrs. Gruder, 53, at her home in Lima. Mrs. Gruder, the message stated, passed away 11:30 p.m. after a brief illness. The cause was not given.

Mrs. Gruder was a native of Mount Vernon being the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Milton Newman. She grew into womanhood here and was married to the William McGruder. Subsequently the family removed from Mount Vernon and the past 14 years lived in Lima. McGruder is survived by a son and daughter, several grandchildren and by two sisters, Mrs. Coates of Chicago and Mrs. Goines of Mount Vernon. She was member of Baptist Church of Lima.

The body is to be brought to Mount Vernon for burial Friday evening. The arrangements of the funeral are not announced. Mrs. Gruder occasionally revisited Mount Vernon and still has friends and acquaintances here who remember her and regret to learn of her death.
