Mrs. John Webster

Mrs. Lillian Vandalia Webster, 72, widow of John Webster, died at home in Fernwood Tuesday at 10:40 a.m. following and illness of three months.

Mrs. Webster was born in Mount Pleasant, O., daughter of late Michael A. and Evangeline Goins, and spent most of her life in that community. She was a member of McIntyre A.M.E. Church.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs Gertrude Carter of Fernwood; a grandson, Otto Julian Carter of New York, N. Y.; a foster daughter Marie Carter of Los Angeles, Calif., and seven nieces and seven nephews.

Friends may call at the Bell Funeral Home today until 10 p.m. when the body will be removed to the family home. Funeral services will be held at the McIntyre Church near Smithfield Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Doakes officiating. Burial will be at McIntyre Cemetery.

*Lillian went by Lydia. She was married to Jeremiah (Jerry) Carter and became a widow before marrying John Webster.  I knew Lillian and Lydia were one in the same person due to her middle name Vandalia
